Drown Me
03:43
|

You just assume that you'll still feel the way you did last night,
keeping a handle on all of the things you feel are right.
As I awake I'm beginning to realize my fear;
things that I thought I'd escaped are beginning to draw near.
Going over the same ground;
I've been here for nearly five years.
Drying up of all my tears,
drinking in what should have drowned me
Deep down I know that there is really no one left to blame.
Still, I can't seem to keep out of this ego-driven shame.
And I still feel there is a part of me
that you still own.
Going over the same ground;
I've been here for nearly five years.
Drying up of all my tears,
drinking in what should have drowned me.

Valleys of our Youth
04:49

Pine trees line the road, I know just where to go,
down in the valleys of my youth.
School bells rung by hand, heard wide across the land,
down in the valleys of my youth.
James is bored so he throws a chair.
Teacher sends him out so he can get some fresh air
in the valleys of my youth.
Where will we go in only one year or so?
How does it seem that all that I had was only a dream?
We ride into the hills, searching for kicks and thrills,
upon the mountains of my youth.
Michael flies into the air sending out bits of blood and bone everywhere,
in the mountains of my youth.
How does it feel reheating your last meal?
Where will I find part of my heart?
A piece of my mind?
My peace of mind?
Head back and catch that train;
looks like I am rolling back home again
to the valleys of my youth.
I'll be waiting here for your shining face of gold to appear,
in the valleys of our youth.
